It never rains but it pours
Proverbial Meaning: When bad things happen to us, other bad things seem to happen at the same time - one after another.
Literal Origins: When it rains it never just rains a little, but pours down. Bad weather generally makes people unhappy, so the thought of lots of rain is similar to the thought of lots of misfortunes.
Common Usage: This proverb is very well known and often quoted when someone experiences a run of bad luck or misfortunes.

A twister of twists once twisted a twist;
twist that he twisted was a three-twisted twist;
If in twisting a twist one twist should untwist,
The untwisted twist would untwist the twist.

Nothing can be more typical of Cambridge than this picture; I wish I´d had the opportunity to go punting as well; I´ll sure go back there even if it is just for this reason
